"We recently engaged AVP Projects to undertake a two stage renovation project for us on our 1980's 2-storey home. Stage 1 being to completely gut and redo our entire first floor. Stage 2 being to demolish the existing upper floor and "start again", and then give the home a modern facelift on the front elevation, so it looked like a brand new, recently built residence. We are pleased to say we couldn't be happier with the results. lan and Andy were a pleasure to work with - no ask was too big or too small, and I was really impressed with their attention to detail, and getting the job right.
Stage 1 was carried out with a minimum of fuss and everything went according to plan, on time and on budget - including kitchens, bathrooms, structural changes, the lot! Stage 2 included the demolition of the upper floor, then encompassing the entire re-build, as well as all finishing items i.e. carpets, tiling and air conditioning etc. to a high quality.
It was handed over to us - taking only 3 and half months to complete, we couldn't believe how quickly the second storey went up and we couldn't be happier with the entire outcome! Our home is now how we imagined it should be.
We would have no hesitation at all in recommending AVP Projects to anyone looking to undertake a project of a similar

The demolition and structural reinforcement of the upper level was a challenge that was completed with a minimum of fuss. Their allied trades were efficient and punctual so the project rolled onto completion without long breaks.

"My husband and I share the same passion for restoring old federation/period homes, in which we recently purchased a 112 year old home in Mount Lawley and enlisted AVP Projects for our renovation journey.

The personalised service was outstanding, as with every renovation, particularly the age of this home, when issues arose they explained in 'lay-man's terms' our options and listened to our needs. Living onsite whilst the renovations were in progress at times was difficult with young children but our safety was always paramount, they left the site immaculately clean after every shift, to ensure minimal disruption to our lives, even setting up a make shift laundry and kitchen.

"As first-time builders, we were understandably nervous about choosing the right team for our project. Our biggest fear was ending up with a builder who either simply agreed with everything we suggested - despite our inexperience - or one who prioritised convenience over quality. What we truly needed was guidance: someone who could advise us on the best way to achieve the outcome we wanted.
Andy came recommended by our architect, who had worked with him several times before. From our first meeting, he was professional, friendly and most importantly for us - patient. That initial impression gave us the confidence to move forward without hesitation.
Working with Andy and the AVP team throughout the build was a genuinely positive experience. Even when we made change requests (and there were a few!), Andy never showed frustration or made us feel like an inconvenience. As complete newcomers to the building process, we really appreciated the time he took to walk us through decisions to ensure we achieved the best possible result.
A major standout was the pride Andy and his team clearly take in their work. Their professionalism gave us complete confidence. On one occasion, a miscommunication led to an incorrect doorway width. As soon as we raised it, Andy had it fixed the very same day. It was moments like that which confirmed we’d chosen the right builder.
We always felt that Andy understood our vision. The suggestions his team made along the way really reflected how invested they were in creating the best outcome for us.
The completed granny flat exceeded our expectations and those of the family member who moved in. "Andy and lan came to us on recommendation from the SIPS manufacturer, as someone "that actually lives in a house built by the product", doesn't get better than that in my mind. Using the material was a first for a lot of the ancillary trades on site but lan and Andy guided them through the process and kept the build on track. They helped us during the planning phase and we worked well together in a fluid process during the build to overcome obstacles and changes. Renovations are never as straightforward as a clean build but with the combined skill set and experience of the team and contacts in the trade used on multiple occasions it worked very well. The quality of the carpentry work was commented on by visiting trades and the tie in between the old and new was structurally solid. I would not hesitate to recommend AVP to anyone requiring building services, extremely personable, easy to work with and flexible.
